'Green' planets.
Is there anyway to make a planet green, because I tried terraforming Mars (it worked it could have life and it had trees.) but the land stayed red instead of a green colour.
Am I doing something wrong or is this not in the game yet.

P.S if any developers see this, I love this game btw one of my favourites ;)

Yeah, this doesn't make any sense to me. I created a planet by smashing a few Earths together, it had liquid water and some organics on it, life should have happened but it did not. ( The life wouldn't have lasted long any way as it became a snowball, bad jupiter throwing planets out of the solar system like that). A planet does not have to be like Earth to have life, it just needs water ( even that is debatable).

Well a planet does need plants or trees because they give off oxygen but I don't think it works that way in the simulation. Yeah I terraformed Mars and I even put cilmate on but it didn't work. It's quite weird

There's the life likelihood index and the Earth similarity index, but we are not yet doing any visual representation of life.

Our goal is to eventually add in something simple, like what you're describing with vegetation growth and such, but this won't be in anytime too soon.

Jar, can you foresee an update like this occurring any time in the foreseeable future now that over a year has passed?

While we haven't made any progression yet on life specifically, we are very close to having the first stage of its groundwork ready, which is Planet Grids. You can read more about this in our roadmap: http://steamcommunity.com/games/230290/announcements/detail/1453955548932166662

We also recently hired the Climate & Simulation developer we were searching for, and she is excited to get started on life simulation.

It will still be a while, but we are making progress. :)
