We use Steam's suggested regional pricing, so the price varies depending on where you are.
You're supposed to have the same price for Steam customers as you do elsewhere.
So what's with the -33% on Humble right now and... not in the Steam store?

4. Don't overcharge Steam customers. The Early Access price of your game should be no higher than that offered on any other service or website. Please take care of your customers on Steam.
Since a day is a little short notice to expect you to rectify the situation, I'm going to have to suggest you now hold a similar sale here on Steam as a show of good faith.
I have played the first universe sandbox, enjoyed it quite well and was looking forward to this one when it hits 1.0. Lovely to much about with and set to music while watching it all unfold.
As for timing of sales across distribution platforms my experience has been more the opposite, that most developers tend to run sales on all platforms/distributors around the same time and to an equal amount, notwithstanding bundles, as sales times are usually seasonal across all platforms. That was so it doesn't come across as a slight towards any one distributor/community - that you are one of those who make the discounts equal in amount across the distributors is very reassuring.
I do see a few different sales percents in the history[steamdb.info], which I will assume is being a bit more kindly towards your customers here on Steam than elsewhere as they are the ones here giving you feedback and bug reports throughout development, but also shows a generous history of sales times throughout the year. I must comment that as well. From that history I am guessing around Oct-Nov will be the next time this game goes on sale? That would be a great thing to know for those who are awaiting a sale so they may plan for it.
Thank you in advance, and keep on (space) truckin'.
In the majority of the cases, we're not choosing specific dates for these sales ourselves. Instead, storefronts ask us to participate in sales they have scheduled. These are often seasonal as you said, but that doesn't mean they'll be at the same exact time. For example, the recent Humble sale was their dates for their summer sale, which happens to come later than the Steam summer sale.
Keep in mind that people are still buying Steam codes on these other sites, so they're all ending up on Steam here even though they got it somewhere else. We're not allowed to reveal details or dates for future Steam sales, but your guess is probably a good one if you're basing it on previous years. :)
And so you have all the relevant information you may need for planning, I want to make sure you see our announcement from a couple months ago about us planning to raise the price in the future.
