N++
I'm looking to get back into the Precision platformer genre....
Is this the place to start ? I played Super meat boy but it wasn't for me as i prefer more vibrant looking visuals. Cheers all

This is a good place to start. The game is among the best in the genre.

Precision platformers can feel very different from one another, I'd recommend checking out Celeste and Dustforce in addition to this.

Aye Dustforce is amazing but hard as ♥♥♥♥. I'm a gamer who can at least beat just about any platformer. Every level in Super meat boy wasn't so bad. Dustforce I couldn't even unlock the last levels ;(
N++ is definitely accessible, almost as much as the original N.

I am pleased to see integrated controller support and frame-perfect rendering, two things the original lacked back in the day. While the original N had a bunch of stupid frame-drop deaths, N++ is smooth (but still challenging).
