No, it's all honest. simply there are people with an extremely fast reaction. this can not be trained I think. this is due to the phenotype.
Here is the channel of one of the top 2 player on the Twitch. you can see how he plays difficult levels.
https://www.twitch.tv/xaelar1/videos/all
unfortunately the video stream where he set the records he deleted. (
there was a video where he roughly every 10 minutes glorified the best time at the next level.)
N++ as juggling. when you throw 3 balls - it seems unreal when a person juggles 7 clubs. but this is real, although not everyone can do it.
A lot of those names consistenly on the highscore sheets have been around since before I started playing 10 years ago... Xela, jp27ace, eddymatagallos and many others are all N legends. This game has old foundations dude, n++ is actually the final iteration of N.
Fun fact, you can download (and play) the older versions of the N game to checkout the replays there as well if you'd like, same names, same people consistenly showing up over the years. They're just that good. Mind blowing huh?
I can count on one hand the number of replays that are hacked (in this version), and that's just a score hack, when you watch the replay on a hacked score the ninja usually just messes around for a bit aimlessly then completes the level. Non of the physical movement is hacked, only the score, which is very very rare and obvious when it happens because it's usually absurdly high and the actual replay shows someone who doesn't know what they're doing. With this game, what you see is what you get. This game has an almost limitless skill ceiling. Tell your friends <3
ShizZ is partially wrong on one thing, it can be trained, how well is up to you ;) Although that said your best may never be as good as the top 0.0001% no matter how good you get. There's always a couple of guys that always seem to find a few extra frames that you can't..
I'm talking about the ~ top 3
you can easily get into the top 50 if you want. if you work, you can get into the top 20.
but to get into the top 3 - you can only if you have superhuman speed.
ps I'm playing since ~2004.)
I completely agree that at the very very top you're seperated by pure talent and or magic (not that they don't work hard either). Like I said, a few guys have this almost magical ability to squeeze out a few frames. But that's just stating the obvious I guess.
'04? Impressive! Pretty sure I've seen your name on a lot of the old leaderboards, or am I imagining things...Anyway, I should stop stalling, only reason I'm here is I'm suffering on my latest episode ;_;
my records are only in ++. I'm a pretty weak player.) but I love ++)
Like the others said, what you see is years of experience, thousands of hours playtime and natural talent. There are no cheats apart from score hacks as far as the community knows.
Also highscores are not even the craziest thing you can do in this game. Getting 100% completion is far harder (only 2 people have done it, about 5 are close, not many are capable of that). And then there is solo coop, playing both ninjas at once. Sounds ridiculous, and it is. But still, I have done about 99% of the coop content on my own. There is still more, so don't worry about cheated scores, it is humanly possible and people do it.
