How To Get More Gold In Home Realm?

Title. I've been visiting Home Realm between missions and building some. Now I have no gold, none of the mine-able tiles seem to be gold, and there appears to be no way to get gold?
It says something about spawning enemies, and earning 10K gold per wave, but I can't figure out how to get a wave of enemies to spawn either.
Please help! Google has surprisingly little info on Home Realm :(

There are 2 blocks near the portal to the north.
1 spawns enemies, the other spawns gold.

You can also generate gold with avarice [ritual], transmutation [potion], bloodmoney [spell], monolith [construction], or the colossus [titan].
