Thanks for the head up, i wasted to much money on not working games here allready, wont do this mistake again.
Cheers
well thats your choice , enjoy
Not a choice, If you lost money in past on unfinished games, then it becomes a effect of a cause.
IMHO they're both epic games. Will prob get DK after I finish DK2, I just recommended DK2 because I know theres issues with old games on new systems and I knew for a fact DK2 had been patched. I assume DK is as well but dont know for sure.
As for the controls, I'm playing through DK2 atm and having no issues whatsoever. Defaults are set to use the arrows but you can manually set up your keys too so crack on, say I! :D
I found DK and yeah it totally works on my Win7 :)
fps drops, crashes, weird balancing (like the huge AI minion armies at level 12), I want to finish the campaign, but it is hard in this state...
I trust the devs will fix the issues...
As far as those that suggest getting DK2 I'd love to but Gog.com is international and my debit card (company) won't let me use it for international purchases nor will it let me even set it up properly in Paypal (and yes I know what I'm doing I've had my Paypal account since it first existed).
Under Windows it wouldn't even run, possibly it ran under Win 2k on VMWare Workstation, but performance was pretty horrid to say the least.
If you want to play games why bother with Linux?
I havent experienced game-breaking problems like OP but it seems plenty have. I hope the week gone by has resolved the majority of the issues for them
