However, it looks like it's not going to be ready at launch unfortunately. It'll likely be something added in a patch for those that own it.
Holy chit, calm down. We've all been waiting like 20 years for 'Dungeon Keeper 3', now it's finally here your complaining about not having a manual?
The Soundtrack should be on your Computer already...check your steamfolder
Steam\SteamApps\common\War For The Overworld\War For The Overworld - Soundtrack
And for me it is very very poor too that the players are cheap gametester! The devs must test the game N O T the players.
And a manual is standard but the last years the games become a more and more poor quality.
But the most problem are all the blind fanboys they say to all "it´s ok" . When i buy a game i will: 1. play it
2. read a manual to understand all the gamemechanics
3. will N O T be a cheap beta-tester for the devs
Hope in some days the devs will learn that, but when so many blind fanboys say nothing, the devs will never change the very bad quality !
Overworld is a very great game, but this status is a very bad joke for a full-release. And overlord is very complex, not to have a manual is such a NOGO !!!!!!!!!
It's called being patient; but hey, whatever floats your boat ;)
A game without a manual is not complete! And when some players say to all unfinished games AND such games have no manual it is ok...such players are blind fanboys fore me.
Being patient....lol, the same are beeing patient when they buy a broken car !!!!
Being patient only when a game have SOME bugs amd a small manual.
But to become an unfinished game without any kind of manual AND we must be cheap beta-tester......no possible to be patient !!!!
Just dropping by to answer a few posts here
It's being worked on but it's not a high priority right now with patch 1.1 around the corner all our focus is on that. Don't worry we've not forgotten and we'll definitely alert everyone when there's news on it. :)
As I've said in the multiple threads where you've mentioned this now a manual is on our to do list it's just a low priority task in comparison to many of the other work we all have to do. In terms of human resources we're extremely limited on where we can commit ourselves and in this day and age manuals just aren't considered a necessary thing for the majority of players.
I can promise you I'll knock it out as soon as I can but as you know this is an extensive game with a lot to cover so it's going to simply take a while. In the meantime if you post a question I will do my best to answer it.
Please try to be patient, I know you're truly disappointed in the game and I'm sorry that I can't help you any further than this but consistently posting about it is simply requiring further time on my part to moderate the forums and less that I could be spending on my other pressing work.
Finally:
Let's try to be civil in here, we welcome all concerns, criticism and praise for us but we do not permit flaming or insulting towards other members in our forums. If I see further posts that could lead to a flame-war I'll begin removing posts. We don't do that often here but we'd like to maintain a pleasant atmosphere for all. :)
Thank you for the update, I look forward to seeing how the lore and story in the guide ties in with the hints of things we get from the campaign, especially the named characters and the way the story currently ends.
James our writer is actively working on this, as his main task/project. I shall see if I can get him to visit this thread and give you a bit of an insight to how the process is going.
