Hi Icallmyselfi
Nice to see another networking professional (or at least someone who has knowledge!), I used to work as a network engineer for a county council in the UK :)
Thanks for the heads up on this. When I'm next in the office on Monday I'll organise a test to see if we see the same thing (We didn't see it in our last test, but maybe something changes in the latest patch)
In the meantime would you be able to chuck us a bug report on our tracker (There's a stickied link in the forums, sorry I'm on a phone right now). Include as many details as you can.
Cheers,
Lee
Unless, of course they use a VLAN like Tunngle or Hamachi.
Thank you. Some time ago I have finished CCNP track. ;)
So I could gather any related info you desire (including Wireshark log).
For some reason I have to ask if you disabled IPV6, while playing, as it and its windows associated software spams the network.
The open system interconnectivity model is a good one to keep in mind and has saved many grey hairs.
I noticed there is an invite to game in the game within the multiplayer setup.
But this could be new.
Invite only, not public and not password.
And there is a Router with NAT towards internet. But I have no access to it.
