Juggernaut AI seems to be borked
So far I've been playing the last level of the campaign over again to get the Leeroy achievement, and through my leisurely 2 hours of game time all my minions are functioning quite happily: They get themselves enough food and rest, get to the vaults in a timely manner for payday, and visit the Arena for extra happiness.

All of them except for the captured Juggernauts, that is. For whatever reason, instead of behaving like sane individuals they completely neglect all of their needs: They never visit the tavern unless plopped there, they rarely visit the vault even on payday, and instead of training themselves they just wander off into the far corners of my dungeon, leading to them being unhappy all the time.

Now I could just pin this blame on me being a bad dungeon builder, but considering none of my other minions are suffering the same issues (not even the Highguards or Arcanists I've captured), this leads me to believe that something about the Juggernaut's AI is just broken.

The Juggernaut and Augre AI behaves the same as the others, the thing is bad game design, or the lack of introduction.

Juggernauts and Augres work in the garrison, which is usualy placed at the edge of your dungeon, in addition they are very slow creatures. So they try to fullfill their duty, but it needs minutes to go there and back.
When they get unhappy, they are so far off, and so slow, that they can't get back in time, before they get angry.
If you want to solve that, you would need to build an outpost dungeon near the garrison, where they have their lair there, tavern, vault (and training room).

That's why they get unhappy in a huge dungeon.

That does make sense, yeah. But still, I don't really find that a satisfactory explanation for why they wander off to random empty rooms on the exact opposite side of the dungeon, nowhere near the tavern or vault or even the garrison.

It isn't a satisfactory explaination, "just" bad game design.

If the Juggernaut and Augre would fullfill their needs before they go to their duty, could make it better, or that those 2 creatures wouldn't lose their needs stats as quickly, would make it better. But doesn't solve the issue, that the slowest creatures have to walk the furthest to work.

I thought augres got a speed buff to make them the same speed as other creatures. They really need to just do their job if placed in a room though. Obey is mandatory at the moment.

Augres and Juggernauts have a bit trickier personality, that at high levels might be a bit annoying to manage, they walk slow, and they like to wander around, mostly checking for garrisons to recharge (?), but ive find they are easily distracted and ive find them on some occasions wandering around the map.

I sometimes do, place garrisons under a locked door :P (not to all of them, mostly to the ones that aren't strategic important) this has been working for augres, might also help u with juggernauts. Also make sure u use also what's been referenced above by players w much more experience than me! use recall, constantly drop them in the barracks, slap them a bit around and use obey.

Personally i dont consider for this to be "broken" behaviour (maybe just a lil bit ;) ), u can look at it has a personality trait! A very negative one... "personality" is something that players often ask for! I find them to be fine, i kinda secretly wished minions were more stubborn and harder to manage / satisfy, even at max lvl/high lvl most units are very easy to keep happy singing along your dungeon, but thats me :steammocking:

As someone said, they walk slow and their room is usually the room furthest from the rest of the base. But there are tools to compensate. You can build rooms for them near them, use those teleporters, recall spell, pick them up, drop food or gold on them, ect.
