Elite Creatures [Anyone remember those]
Is that a ting in this game? In another game that will not be mentioned (as it died a horribad death) you could make special combinations of rooms, and it would encourage elite varients of certain creature types into your dungeon. Is it a thing in this game at all? If not....maybe can it be, sometime in the future? It was a fun little mechanic, and I'd love to bring some elites into my happy little army of monstrous, butt-scratchy minions.

I believe that the Empire does get special units with certain room combinations, yes. Underlords, however, do not get those unless they can take control over an Overworld Gateway. Instead, Underlords get the ability to summon a Titan unit once they have reached the end of at least one catagory in the Veins of Evil. There are four in total, but only one can be active at a time. Summoning a Titan takes five minutes and three Sins, and it can be interrupted if enemies reach and destroy the Summoning Stone in the Dungeon Core chamber.

And no, they're not as horny as they were in Dungeon Keeper.

Edit: never mind, I was thinking of something else.

WftO does not have elite minions in the conventional sense, but as Nova Solarious noted, having enough room tiles of certain rooms may entice some Imperial heroes such as Highguards and Bards, and Vanguards into your dungeon.

Aw, that's a shame. I kinda miss the reskins of the normal minions. I didn't know you could use the goody goodies in any other way than converting them in a torture chamber. That sounds cool!

You can use them to summon vampires, throw them into the meat grinder, bloodmoney them, burn them in the torture chamber, throw their bones into the crypt, or let them fight in the arena and yea, 2.0 will give you another option for them^^

Wow, that's some list of entertaining possibilities :)
Yeah, I got an email about 2.0 and it does look like it's going to be a bundle of fun :D
I'm not very good at the game. Seem to have lost my touch since D1 and D2, but, I still enjoy it, so more stuff to do is always welcome!

I wouldn't mind elite minions to reappear somehow, I'd probably want them to return in a different way than just making a special combination of room tiles to recruit them, and with different maintenance requirements.

If they're extra-powerful versions of normal minions, I'd expect them to have some sort of conditions so that they're not just straight upgrades all-around, and so that recruiting them isn't always ideal. Sort of like how a vampire can be total murder-machine, but is pretty demanding for maintenance, and if you can't maintain them, they can work against you.
