Guess it'll be time for my 4th replay of the whole game, can't wait to see the remastered campaign!
I'll be back with more feedback later ;)
Personally, I don't like how crucible has 3 lanes and I would prefer 1 and 2 lane maps, thus the reason why I was interested in crucible map making potential. I imagine you could create a similar styled map using indestructable gateways with timed unit spawns (like the HoG rhoad's map), however for the automatic gold production, would it be possible to script shrines/tiles held by the player to generate gold/mana/etc automatically?
One thing I dislike about crucible is that you are limited in creating your own lane paths without getting "you blocked the lane!" (ie. a valid path exists but the default path was blocked) Will the new script/map tools allow you to check for valid pathing to an object? (ie. like in those campaign maps where digging units will spawn if you try to block the path with earth constructs)
Looking forward to seeing the new changes.
currently if you put a water, lava, blood and liq gold, or putting a waterfall, lavafall and absys next to each other, it look too ugly, would that all be fixed? i would want to make a river of clean water having half of it tainted by blood (just blood, no specific name for the blood donar), both running down to a half water half bloodfall and drain into the absys. XD
A terrain theme simply changes the appearance of all the terrain in a level, so natural tiles all change.
This tiles really aren't really intended to go together but there's no way within WFTO as it exists now to get these to go together nicely. For the most part, any liquid tile is not meant to meet with another liquid, to change that would require a complex solution.
