Lamash (How to die with benefits)
Does anyone have any Lamash specific strats. I think my initial idea of Lamash is flawed.
I imagine a majority death army you know gouls necros vamps and so on. But the more I play her the more it seems its regular play but just sacrifice all your beasts to the crypts (no pit means no beast levels) and you want 4 or so necros. has anyone tried a mass vampire build with her or anything like that.

I know she needs some time to build up her gouls then she can start winning fights. if you start to early the beast underlords will plow you. but what about the other stuff. is the banshee spell worth it (for shards maybe).

or do you rush enemy cores. or creep your way with your imps for home ground advantage.

at the moment she feels so much like a nerfed underlord and thats it.
I am really hoping someone can prove me wrong on this point. I'm a necro BORN AND DEAD.
Im hoping for a clear benifit to playing her. at the moment I just feel nerfed.

p.s It seems all the underlords are ♥♥♥♥ scared of her. Im looking for justification for this.... at strats ofcoarse. (I now the usual tips, im looking for lamash specific stuff, and hopefully we can all learn something here.)

Unless I misunderstand how Necromancers work, you gotta keep them in peace band so they can keep raising ghouls from your fights, however then ghouls don't come to frontline because they follow Necromancers.

Also, your super unit is very strong with army backing it up. I recommend to getting it up early on. I generally don't really build defenses all that much in this game due mana is more worth it being actively used.

necros and their gouls are have your army with lamash peace banding them in a real fight, especially against the beast underlords is going to be a loss.
increase gouls after a big clash yes. but not gonna leave them behind.
does someone have any other ideas on lamash effectiveness.
are half your army*

Personally, I never bothered with the crypt whilst playing as Lamash, I just played normally with aggressive defences and beasts. At the moment Lamash can mass banshees which is pretty overpowered. Massing vampires is something you can do easily with any underlord but Shale is actually better for doing this as she has the arena.

Necromancers/ghouls could do with a buff generally for them to be a useful strategy. With that said, it is entirely possible to win using them...but I would use them as a support/secondary attack with the archon as the primary attack force. The archon can be difficult to kill so this is one of Lamash's strengths.

As a final note, there is the reanimation potion and uprising ritual. These are not amazing per se but can sometimes be used to win levels. Personally though, I prefer having prisoners, but that is just how I tend to play.

Lamash is labelled as being the 'hard' personality, and this is largely because none of her traits give the player too much of an edge. As I see it, the player simply has another option to use when playing as her.
Hi Webbernever1 could you elaborate on how to use banshees in an overpowered way.
I have just come back from a few games and I have found that fast stocking the crypt with beasts and then using the uprising ritual has worked quite well. a few waves of them are difficult for the ai to manage while leaving you own troops to lvl up at home.
i agree the necros are a bit iffy.
i wish I new what was attracting shamblers they seem to tank quite well.
if anyone has solid info on the attraction of shamblers and fat head deads that would be great.

Empowered banshees can be massed if you have a large pool of mana. Sacrifice additional workers and then summon a whole load of them.

In my experience the thing that really makes Lamash shine is attrition. Typically you have to take breaks between fights so your units can heal up and rest and all that but with Lamash you have a lot of incentives to stay engaged even after your units start dying left and right. Just make sure your imps keep funneling the dead back to your crypt and sacrifice any stragglers or late comers because a small cluster of ghouls is usually worth more than a fresh level 1 minion of any sort.

Necromancers take a bit of micromanaging because they're the only ones that AREN'T more useful dead. Periodically pull them away from the front to replenish their hordes and heal up then send them back in with a fresh wave of ghouls.

Banshees are really helpful as part of a push. While your forces keep the enemy occupied a mass of banshees from the potion, spell, shrine, or some combination are free to just pound the objective into oblivion. Throw a single potion into the midst of a battlefield if you see things pile up and suddenly your opponent has a mass of bomb slugs wriggling towards their core while all their minions are too distracted by various necrotic goons.

Also dont be shy about using your torture chamber and spirit chamber to rapidly level up those Necromancers. Torture a level 6 or so gnarling to death and usually his soul is juicy enough to boost a novice necromancer all the way to 10!

Hope that helps!

1. Unlike other Underlords, you do -NOT- gain a respawn penalty if you throw your own intelligent minions into the crypt as Lamash
2. From my personal experience, I recommend sacrificing your intelligent minions rather than your beasts, given that the latter can be a huge asset without having absurdly high payday wages (you still will need a skeleton - hah- crew to run your dungeon: Basic stuff like chunders, succubi, and witch doctors. Gnarlings are fair game for the crypt though).
3. Try to preserve the Undead minions spawned from the gateway - they're free, but also can't be rescued if killed.
4. Lamash does not have a penalty on defenses, and while they are not as cheap as Volta's, they're still useful when it comes to gathering corpses.
5. Spirit Chamber - Lamash is the only Underlord with access to it, and given that you don't want to convert prisoners anyway (again, wages), just turning them into spirits and beefing up your necros with them is highly useful.

This all being said: Lamash currently IS the hardest Underlord to play in UG, simply because her positive traits only become active in the mid to lategame, whereas all others receive the goodies right at the start of the game.
