There has always been an order in which things have to be done. You can only apply lime in certain steps of preparing fields for next crop. You also do not need to lime each time however if you do you get the max lime bonus.
Its not difficult to figure out. It has also been that way in FS22.
With precision farming these steps changed and most people forgot or did not know to begin with that it was required.
As a side note precision farming is coming back.
People ask for more sim in Farm Sim instead of Tractor Driving and when they get it they complain.
The following is the correct order
Harvest
Lime
Mulch
1st Fert - Slurry can do 1 & 2
Plow as needed
Pick stones
Decide to direct seed with or without 2nd Fert
If no direct drill
Cultivate
Pick stone
Plant with or without fert
2nd Fert if not included during planting
Roll
Now you know. Farm on. Once the new Precision Farming is released this may or may not change.
-
Plow 1st IF it is needed, which it only is after ~3 harvest unless root fruit, then the rest of the steps ending with seeds in the ground. (lime, mulch, cult, seed+fert+(if double application), weed, fert (if no double application)
Lime can also be added after seeding or cultivating. But AI many times will not (especially after 1.5).
