How did my Oilseed Radishes die?

It's september, I drilled them in August.
Both are growth months for the crop... what did I do wrong?

still green and show as withered? That's a bug or glitch.

Oilseed radish is a catch crop or cover crop. When the crop turns orange on the map or is "ready to harvest," take a cultivator and cultivate the field before planting the main crop. You can also use a direct seeder instead of cultivating the field first. Doing this will increase the harvest yield of the main crop you plant in that field.
