stopping buildings sinking into the ground?
How the hell do I place building to remain at ground level instead of it sinking into the ground ruining everything? the terrain tool is still utter ♥♥♥♥ and useless even after all these years

it dose say that its up to you to make sure the ground is level before you build i have found it worked better that way than build first and then try and sort it out
They didn't improve on the half-arsed building mechanics at all in FS25. Plopping buildings still ♥♥♥♥♥ up the terrain. But they have no incentive to fix it because the community laps up a few added features as a new game. The terrain issues is one of many examples of why FS25 is not really a new game at all.

Learn how to landscape, it's not hard.

Landscaping in the game does not work properly. That's why you hardly ever see Youtubers using ploppables. It's not a fully functioning feature. They always use existing buildings.
I believe when placing a building the ground gets levelled to whatever height the ground is at the centerpoint of where you place the building, more or less. Take a save before starting, then, in landscaping, pick a spot on the ground you'd like the building to be level with and use the level tool to level out the area from there. Then place the building. Next use the 'slope to' and 'smooth' tools to create viable inclines wherever needed in those places where the building is above or below the surrounding ground.

Yes it's a pain, takes a bit of trial and error, but it does work. In a way I prefer it this way because the game makes minimal assumptions about what effect you want the placement to have on the surrounding ground, and leaves that in your control. If you do it well the net result may even be more to you're liking than if the game decided it all for you.

Guess we watch different youtubers. They put down their own buildings quite often.
Another 'skill issue' thread.
