Mods not showing

I have download a number of mods and quite a few are not showing up as installed, eg. Lumber-Jack so I can remove stumps with the chainsaw.

Before starting a map press to activate mods. They will light green on the panels to let you know its active.

That one hasn't been released. If you downloaded it from somewhere else - it may work and then again it may not - check your log for errors related for those "not showing" :)

Yes I have done that, the problem is I have the mods in the Mods folder, but some aren't showing up where you activate them.

If they are not showing as installed at all, they are probably not for FS25 but for older FS (i.e if you download as FS19 or FS22 mod and put it in mods folder - it won't show up for activation). Again, check your log as that will be written there too.

Yep, just noticed it was for FS 22, but there are some for FS 25 that aren't appearing for selection.

An alternative to Lumberjack...

Grab the wood chip/small sawmill structure for $36,000. Buy the winch for the back of your tractor. Chop a tree with a chain saw, attach the winch, tow it across the sell point of your mini wood sawmill and presto, done. Only have to remove the stump after and it is very easy to do so. Far easier than anything in prior versions for tree removal having to chop trees into pieces and then putting them in a wagon to cart to a sell point.

I've been doing this to clear a lot of the trees in the US Farm Map. The winch is my new favorite thing. The only downside is there's a max weight so that giant 20m needs to be cut in smaller parts.

Seems like they raised the limit on how much you can pick up too. Makes using the wood chipper a lot easier and faster.

The winch is nerfed like crazy from its "original mod". But its still usable.

For stumps and those pos "small trees with lots of branches": FS25_TMCeditpack can help you. Its the base game mulcher only they do not create a field when you use them (Do NOT lower them over the sumps or trees on ground).
It can also chop down some "larger" tree. Of course you want get any money from it.

I am having trouble also. I edited how much certain mods can hold and they show up in my downloads folder in mod hub but when I load a game they don’t appear to be selectable before loading into the game. I checked the log. And I got a name error so I corrected the name error and I still get the same thing any help would be great!

Check the full log, maybe there's a typo, in case it will tell at what line.

Any idea what kind of typo I should be looking for? Like in the name or anything. I know you can’t use dashes but can use underscores are spaces ok? I literally put it is as FS25_Ford Dump should I have done FS25_Ford_Dump?

underscore not needed at all besides the one after FS25, but definitely no spaces or punctuation in the names.
Just pay attention what the log tells you. Can also be naming in modesc
