Can't remap mouse thumb buttons

Can you guys remap to your mouse buttons?

I tried to set toggle cruise control and activate steering assistant to the mouse thumb buttons to make things easier but i couldn't.

I have a G604 and at least two of the six buttons on the side are always universally recognized in any game but in FS25 even those can't be remapped.

mine all work fine, they are detected as 1 to 9 so they are bound in the keyboard section not mouse maybe check this. I think the mouse section of the menu only works for mouse movement an standard mouse functions not side buttons.
