lime/field bug

I have bought a field that needed lime, and when I spread lime it is not visible on the field, nor does the map show that I am spreading it.

I had the same problem. Fixed it by plowing the field first

problem is the field had carrots planted when i bought it :D

Same issue, Field has carrots and I have two other fields planted that also need lime but they also can't be limed. I see this as a bug that needs to be fixed. You should be able to spread lime at any time.

You can't lime a field that has a crop growing on it. The field has to be in a fallow or harvested state. If I am understanding you guys correctly.

oh thank you! i didn't know that. (i think in 22 u can do that anytime)
i thought it was an issue because in the flooded rice fields it tells me they need a roll, i don't think it was true. i didn't do it :D

I put lime on my field in a mulched (previously harvested) state, did not work.

Lime increases your yield� It should be applied after every third
harvest when the field info tells you that it’s required� Use a fertilizer
spreader to apply lime to your field� If a fertilizer spreader can apply
lime, this is indicated by the lime icon� Apply lime first, then continue
plowing or cultivating, which works the lime into the soil.

And that is All the manual ahve to say about Lime and how to use it ..

Mulched fields do not accept Lime for some dumb reason, like any other dumb sh*t in this game they forgot to add or "turn on", so only use on cultivated, plowed, harvested or right after planted fields.
