International CV Hitch not working for trailer
Im using the International CV new truck. (which i love) however its not able to hitch to a trailer that should obviously have no issue hitching too.

Hopefully this image works to view. Any help would be nice. Im thinking its a bug with the new truck.

I encountered the same thing with the Lizard Dragon. I tested both types of trailers, ball and ring hitch. Neither work. It seems like the game is not registering that I have a hitch installed on the truck.

Yeah that’s unfortunate, because that is one of the reasons why I got that truck.

the odd thing is. I have the small water tank and it hooks up just fine to the truck lol

I did some more testing. Of all of the trailers I tested, the International CV could tow the Krampe Rambody, the fifth wheel dolly, and the ABI water tanker. The Dragon could tow the water tanker, the Thunder Creek fuel bowser, and the Trius utility trailer. Neither truck could tow the draw-bar animal trailer, the grape trailer, the two draw-bar low loaders, and most of the tippers.

Short version: that trailer requires a 2" ball hitch. That's only available on the small vehicles, like the pickup truck, the SUV, and the side-by-sides.

There appear to be at least 3 types of trailer hitches: small ball (probably 2 inch), large ball (probably 3 inch), and the pintle hitch.

The Lizard pickup, the SUV, and the side by side all have the small ball. The flatbed trucks have the large ball, and the tractors generally have pintle hitches, although the large ball hitch will also connect to the tractors (at least the ones I've tried.)

The flatbed will tow some of the farm trailers, and it will pull the semi dolly. It will not pull any of the flatbed trailers or any of the farm wagons.

This bugs me, because IRL, those trucks have a slide-in hitch and can swap out any of the common ball sizes and a pintle hitch. So there's no reason for the flatbeds not to tow every trailer in the game that has a single-point hitch.

I don't know if this is by design or by accident, but it is dumb that the medium size trucks can't tow the light trailers or any of the pintle hitch trailers. It's certainly not that way IRL, and that flatbed show tow any of the light trailers and any of the farm wagons. As it stands, those trucks are virtually useless, because they can't pull any of the trailers in the game... the ones with 3" ball tongues are too heavy, and the wagons all have pintle hitches.

This is the answer to the query, i concur.

Frustrated that neither of the lizard trucks will pull the lizard trailer. There is nothing intuitive or instructional that I can find on how to use the trucks and trailers together.

There are modded versions of the International trucks that will tow anything.
Google is your friend LOL

The CV series truck is just built wrong. Giants did not include the pintle hitch or the smaller ball hitch, so the CV won't tow anything except the larger trailers - which are all too heavy to actually use with the truck. So it's almost useless as a tow vehicle.

The good news is that it's easy to mod to fix the problem. I created a mod for the CV, and I've been testing it this evening.

I'll probably upload it to ModHub, but only after I've figured out how to switch the visual parts when different trailers are attached.
