Reduce the capacity of the chicken coop.

In the Riverview map there is a chicken coop with over 2000 chickens. I wanted to know if it is possible to reduce the number of animals to 360 without changing the chicken coop. The default one has a nice fence and I am not able to reproduce it.

Sure! But after a while they went back to 2500. I would like to limit the maximum number to less than 500. With the map there is an identical chicken coop with a maximum of 360 chickens, but it has a different fence that I do not know how to recreate. Anyway, thanks.

While I understand that repeatedly having to sell off chickens can get tiresome after a while, I would also think that the extra income from selling off the chickens would be beneficial. It's essentially passive money in a way, is it not?

It's possible to edit almost anything in FS.

You can change it via .xml.
First of all, you must know the chicken barn brand, then just jump to game's directory and open ....data/placeables.
Look for the folder's brand (Lizard for example) and open it. Search "ChickenBarnbig" folder, open it and then, open the .xml file, press "ctrl+f" and paste "maxNumAnimals".
You should see 2000 just to the right, so you must modify it to the desired qty.

Edit to p.s.: Change the file options to "read-only" to prevent changes via updates.

When in the animal view screen you can choose to allow breeding or restrict it, you don't need to edit anything.

would you be willing to provide a screenshot of that please? I have a chicken coop and I don't recall seeing that option. Though I am also at max cap

This option is not in FS25! It was in FS22 with a specific mod. Thanks anyway.

I have tried all the advice given but the problem remains because the maximum capacity of the chicken coop does not appear anywhere in the XML file of the Large Chicken Coop of the Riverview Farm map. Thanks anyway everyone. I will continue to try until I solve the problem. It is now open war between me and the chickens !

I solved it! The problem was my Notepad that opened only a part of the XML file not allowing me to see all the options. Replaced with Notepad++ and fixed the "capacity" of the chicken coop. Now I have a max of 360 chickens which is what I want to manage. Thanks everyone.
