3rd Party Mods Won't Load
I've downloaded a bunch of 3rd party mods for fs22, and they've worked just fine. Now when I tried to do the same system for fs25 (download them, put them in mods folder, load game) when I put them in the mods folder and loaded the game up it shows the mods aren't there. Any ideas?

there's been recent encounters on 3rd party sites of trolls/greifers reuploading popular mods and adding harmfull scripts to delete mod folders and save games when u try to use them. i recommend removing those mods, and try going to the authors main page to get the mods

please forgive my ignorance here, if an anti virus/ malware program were installed on the computer, would that not scan the download first and quarantine it if anything malicious was detected?

It was some time ago, i don't know if they came back, but it was quickly resolved.

Op, it might be the mod aren't of the right version or they have some error inside, the most common it's a wrong zip name or some typo/errors in the xmls, the log file will tell what's goin' on, it's inside MyDocuments/MyGames/FarmingSimulator25/log.txt, search for error lines, it will probably have some related to the mods you downloaded.

You are running an executable that has permission to run scripts and to add and remove files from your save folder. Anti-malware will see nothing wrong.

Please only get your mods from FS25 Modhub in the game or on their website https://www.farming-simulator.com/mods.php?lang=en&country=ca check with any FS25 Discord for advise and help BUT DO NOT D/L ANY MODS FROM 3RD PARTY SITES. Itch.io has lots of authors Github also has lots of authors And they are good Good luck

Sometimes I think these threads are just trolling us. I read the OP, and it's like, duh, you downloaded bad mods, take them out. I just, can't believe some of these threads.

the simplest answer is usually the correct one
Some of the mod screens have a "CrossPlay mods only option." Might that be the problem?
There have been several mods marked for FS25 on the 3rd party sites that do not work. Clearly not properly converted.
