wood log transport
Which loader is best used for transporting wood logs via semitrailer?

L200H seems very difficult to use to load onto a semi trailer.

the logs are smaller and more neatly packed together on the floor and how do you get it to fit perfectly on the semitrailer? Mine looks crooked all the time.
I make sure both the log and the trailer are directly under the cable. Sometimes I have to push the trailer over with the tractor I'm using the winch with. It's also important to make sure there's enough space between the anchor tree and the yarder to fit both the trailer and the log. Then it's easy to keep everything lined up.

You say the logs are packed together? Must be doing a wood transport contract. A telehandler is probably the easiest way to load those logs onto a semitrailer. They can reach high enough to just drop the logs over the side. I like the Merlo's all-wheel steering for this job.

The L200H was terrible for logs, I couldn't grapple them at all and when I did it wouldn't sit on top of the semitrailer, the logs would be all over the place. I was doing the contract mission.

Yes it's the wood transport contract.

The L200h was terrible at this job, I couldn't even get the logs to sit properly on the semitrailer.

Just to clarify it's for the wood transport mission.

Those are different logs, the one I got were from the wood transport mission, they were all neatly together sitting in the ground. The L200H was struggling to grapple and place them in a semitrailer.

Does anyone know if you can still do the log missions if you buy the factory's?
I like a wheel loader if I'm doing trees big enough for an articulated truck. The changes they made to the log grappling is kind of weird sometimes though, It does make it easier for crane grapples, but loaders have a hard time gripping around a pile of logs.
