console mode

I'm trying to get into console mode with zero success I followed all the insructions setting cheats in steam the changing false to true in the game.xml file but nothing happens when i key ~ or ' ive also tried ¬ ` but nothing any ideas whats left to try

to do this, the console must first be activated outside of the game (end the game):
C:\Users\NAME\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025\
and edit the “game.xml”:
<controls>false</controls>
change to:
<controls>true</controls>
and dont forget to save!

activate Cosnole in the game (press the § key, to the left of the 1 key, TWICE) and enter:
for flymode: gsPlayerFlightToggle
for player speed: gsPlayerSuperSpeedToggle
for superpower: gsPlayerSuperStrengthToggle
or something else and confirm with Enter. good luck ^^ best regards

maybe add the start line in Steam (you would have to do without it ONLY for flight mode, it's more for money cheats or similar):

Thanks, sadly that has not worked.
I do not have that key on my keyboard next to the number 1 mines seems to be depending on shift keys etc are `¬ or ¦
Ive tried changing the xml file again and double checked that it has saved but when i went back to the file again it was set to false again will keep trying .
all I want is to be able to hand lift heavy objects but not happening

think i have a bug even with those enabled i cannot get the hand icon to appear .
going to try a reinstall as ive only just started

dd you checked those points already ?
"GENERAL" (helped others):
1) shader cache CLEAR CONTENT:
C:\Users\NAME\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025\shader_cache
2) do NOT LOAD MODS (as a test).
3) check the Steam installation data (right click > Properties)
4) disable OneDrive, at least for:
- C:\Users\NAME\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025
- Steam Directory. If you dont need it, its best to uninstall it completely.

- DRIVER up to date?? Minimum requirements met??
