Swathing,
Ya, just wondering as i mainly been doing wheat. And i been wondering about the min maxing known as swathing. Using the M1240, that 25% bonus to yield seems very interesting... Yet not a huge fan of needing to Pick up the sweath plants manually due to the game just not allowing ai workers to do it.

So in your opinion, is it worth bothering with this. needing not only offload the goods but Also Harvest them as well. Vs just letting the ai harvest it.

Mind you the issue isn't the time it takes place. It is the fact that I don't know if you can use the AI or not. As really if you want to be min maxing. You just run a bunch of contracts threw the day your working on. letting everything get ran by Ai. As in the end if you get some Good contracts. You can make say 20k to 30k cash in a single day. Even with everything else you need to pay for.

The issue more or less revolves around the combine harvester head for the swath. As the swather itself can be automated threw the use of a helper. Issue is the combine that picks up the swath, Cannot last i heard. Feel free to correct me on that.

This of coarse is a Massive issue as this Double if not trippels the time it takes to Fully harvest a field. As you need to Stop what your doing. Go offload the harvest, most likely dump it into either a silo or a trailer if your using an auger. Then get back into the combine to continue the job.

Combine this with a larger harvest meaning More times you need to offload. You could be in theory half way done preparing for the next harvest by the time you finish this one.

another reason why giants need to remove the whole. You cannot automate certain task. As even something as simple as say Bailing. Should be a fairly simple script to tell the Driver to Say Stop driving if it needs to unload a bail. Let alone this which is Follow a line.

regardless seems like this is more or less a gimmick.

Issue is i don't really like using mods. Like sure i could use course play. But long story short i don't really like the dev. Got into an argument because i asked a question and he Kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me around demanding i Fill out a report and yada yada. It wasn't until someone else just answered my simple question. That i was like ya i didn't really want to use it.

Regardless this ai is good enough to do everything i need it to do. As really the only thing i am missing is it being able to offload combines.

Anyway the reason why i am not trying that. Is because the guide to swathing i watch told me the ai don't work with the combine. Why who in gods name knows.

Side note the last time i played this was back with farming simulator 22. And i didn't really even use it. As i was mainly doing forestry. I then i think switched over to cotton after i made like 3 million. but by then i kinda lost interest and didn't care that much.

O now i recall what i had an issue with. Something about picking up cotton bales. I wanted to automated it. And i asked a question if you could or not. And the guy refuse to just say yes or no.

You all probably remember the "Follow Me" mod. If and when that drops, it will be perfect for the swather/combine jobs. Not to mention those awful veggie jobs. Oh...and baling.
Swathing looks like one of those things you might do to farm more intensively because just buying more land isn't practical. I would probably use one with the cheapest harvester to work an oats and grass schedule on a small field.

I sure miss follow me mod. I used it a lot.
