Lime broken?
Is lime broken? I merged the 3 fields on riverbend starting farm. Plowed, fertilized , planted with fertilizer rolled and I am only getting 87% yield bonus.

The field never said lime was needed even after plowing. Only the two small strips of field I created to merge says they need lime.

Would that affect the entire merged field infield bonus?

Regarding yield bonus…if the filed says 87% yield bonus does that mean I am only getting 87% yield. Or I am getting 87% more (bonus) than then actually yield. Bonus to me means “in addition to the 100% yield.

Thanks for your input!

The 87% bonus is in addition to your normal 100%.

Otherwise, I'm not certain about this, but fertilizing while seeding on a field that was just fertilized may not work. Does it show as being double fertilized? Also, IRL you would need to cultivate after plowing. Perhaps that is part of the problem. I doubt the strips needing lime have any effect on the rest of the field.

Yes it shows double fertilized

I’ll mess around tonight with dev tools and see if it can be figured out.

Thanks for your reply

Lime only counts IF the fields need lime.
You are not getting only 87% yield. You are "only" getting 87% Bonus.

It shouldn't work fertilising on a fertilised fields unless it have changed state somehow. So i would double check it is actually 2x fert.

Thanks. I’ll be checking it out shortly.

this is a bug you can confirm it by disabling lime needed in settings and your field will then say 97-100% but i have had this same issue where a field did not say it needed lime nor looked like it needed it in the map info but it infact did and the AI will lime it too, i disabled lime untill it's fixed.

just revisiting this as my field finally said it needs lime...

Well I limed the field and the status never changed. So i guess it is broken.

there is a specific way to apply things to get bonus, a specific order otherwise they dont work and no bonus.

After harvest I put lime down before I do anything else. Usually followed by mulching.

If you do not work your fields in the correct order you will never get your full bonus.

Plenty of videos on correct order to work your fields and when to apply lime, fert, herbicide or use weeder/hoe

If you are working your own fields you can use a hoe for small and/or medium weeds. If its a contract you have to use the item specific to contract.

Field was harvested, mulched, limed, fertilized, sowed. And will add more fert later. Field still says lime needed. I have turned off lime for the time being.

Where in that process was it out of order. I didn’t weed as I use direct drill which removes weeds.

Wrong. Direct seeding/planting do not remove weeds.

Actually it removes the weeds growing status. At the time of planting there were no visible weeds.

But weeds are not the problem here we talking about lime. I was just pointing it out as the other commenter mentioned weeds.
