Game breaking bug: cannot move character.

Nothing works. I can press the LB/RB button for more options like flashlight etc, but i cannot move and my reticle is a crosshair for some reason?

This happend after putting a tree into the grinder, my character started sliding and moving around on its own and now I cant do anything. Not press esc, not press next vehicle etc.... What to do?

And of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ course I lost a ♥♥♥♥ ton of progress by alt f4ing, god ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dammit.

You lost at most 15 minutes if you have the default autosave on.

As for the issue, do you have any mods running?

no no mods. I had the standard auto save but lost way more than 15 mins.

Ya unless you go into the escape menu it doesn't actually autosave.. At something I'd suspect the mod from 22 will come over and will be an actual auto save.

And the only thing you can do to get help is copy/upload your log file somewhere and post it here other wise we are just throwing spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks.

How do you look at the game log?

Its a text file called log.txt in your documents/mygames/farmingsimulator25 folder. It will likely have some clues ctrl F "error". Some errors are minimal and don't cause noticeable problems, others will do do this.

I think I'm having the same issue but seems like when it happens to me it's after i drop bails in my cow barn or if I sell off any milk.

I had the same or a similar problem. I could no longer leave the vehicle and could no longer operate it.

The solution for me was to enter ‘gsVehicleDebug’ in the console.

Provided that you have activated the console.

After that I could continue playing.
