Bearing degrees
Anyone notice the Bearing degrees are total opposite of what they are supposed to be? I am facing East and it is telling me 270 degrees when it should be 90 degrees.

I'm so used to it I don't notice. Up is up.

But you're assuming north is up? It's not necessarily so, that's a later day (although accepted) concept. On ancient maps, east used to be UP.

That's why maps have a N -> showing north - rather than allowing for this assumption.

Interesting article here.

(Although, having said all that, since *convention* has north UP, Giants likely messed up )

Every morning in the game I face East and the Sun rises in the East. North is up in this game. When I face East it should say 90 degrees, not 270 degrees.

It make sense if it was a global settings depending on map location, but since they shifted in all the three base map they probably screwed someting.

And it never was geographically but local degrees, that's why facing up was 0°, you're at 0° rotation, not facing geo north.

Doesn't matter, sun always rises in the east no matter where you are, doesn't matter which map. If you are facing East it should say 90 degrees.
It's weird that compass bearings have been rotation 180 degrees, but it's not actually disruptive.

Well, it's disruptive if you want to face your windmills in the right direction for realism purposes.

Windmills have a 'right' direction? Why?

For the majority of the year, the wind is blowing North to South, so I want to position my windmills facing due North, that is the correct direction.

What windmill are you using? They should pivot.

Ah, OK. Never noticed tbh. But I use these because they are more like the type we have near home. They adapt to speed and direction.
