Happens on all the farming Sims on my steam deck.
Why does the view go looking stright down when playing on the steam deck handheld way. The view just goes nuts then looks down. Whenever it feels like it.

My thumb was brushing up on the touch pad below the left stick causing the same thing. It's how you rotate view. Change your grip so your hand doesn't hit it.

I wish it was that. I can sit there watching a ai farm and it will do it
