Issues with grinding a large stump

I cannot get rid of a large stump from a tree I cut. I've tried a mulcher and a stump grinder to remove a large stump and nothing works. I've sliced it as low the the ground as I can with the chain saw, and was able to grind up the pieces I hacked off, but nothing is working on the stump itself in the ground. Smaller stumps are no problem. I'm turning on the mulcher and lower it, raising it, everything I can to try to cut this thing up. Same issue using the stump grinder.

Neither the three point or skid steer stump grinders worked for me last time I tried them. The three point forest mulcher on the other hand worked fine. 380 some odd horse power IIRC. My trac could barely turn the thing on but it got rid of an american elm stump. That's huge.

Try the lumberjack mod in the downloads section of the games main menu. It can use the chain saw to remove the stump.

I have no problems with Lumber Jack from modhub.

It can take several passes, but I haven't come across a stump yet that a forestry mulcher can't remove. Come at it from different directions. Back up a full tractor length before each pass.

Thank you so much for the quick response. Lumberjack mod got rid of it in 2 seconds with the chainsaw. I attacked that stump from every angle with 2 different tools. I spent over $300K on a powerful enough tractor, 120K on 2 different mulchers and grinders. there is something seriously broken there.

I used the pinoth SF900 Stump Grinder, and the TMC Cancela TFR 250. i could only grind small stumps bushes nearby or the slices i cut off. I didn't pay attention to what kind of tree, but it was a huge, old one. I appreciate the work around.

Fails to remove collision mesh, at least some of the time. Prevents you building etc where the stump was. Dev has fixed already, they're just waiting for the update to be uploaded.

FS22 had a Mod called tree be gone. It worked really well.

Removing stubs/trees:

• "Lumberjack" need updates but mostly it will work.
  
• "TMC Cancela Edit Pack" mulcher's works (No wood chips!) Do NOT lower the Mlcher when removing stubs, trees
  
• "LIAZRD Trex600" Works (its the same that was in fs19, fs22) I think you keep the wood chips with this one, not sure though.

Thank you for the confirm. I was using the ingame placement override to get around this and other less attractive methods.
