which farming sim game has the best story mode/campaign?

I recently got into 'simulator' games by playing hardspace shipbreaker which I got a lot of enjoyment out of. I've been playing 'life sim' games since harvest moon 64, and i thought i would check out the farming simulator franchise as I've got a trip coming up where i won't have internet access for a few weeks

the problem is that I get bored/aimless in games that are too sandbox focused, so I was wondering which game in this franchise has the best story/campaign mode? if all of them are lame, is there another simulator/dynasty game that you think would be a better fit?

Story mode? Campaign? In farming simulator? Sorry, i had to laugh out loud. But just a single time.

Start the game, choose map and difficulty and do what you want. End of story and campaign.

so what I'm reading about FS22 having a guided career mode isn't true?

You have a guide showing you your tractor, seeder and how to run a harvester. This takes about 15 minutes introduction. Then you do what you want.

Btw you are in the FS25 forums talking about FS22.

There is no real campaign or story to this game sorry. It is at its heart and game play a sand box open world game. I WOULD of said maybe ranching simulator.. But it doesnt work on my high end system. So couldnt check the story out too far before it started over heating my gpu :-/

So for farming games with story I cant think of any.

I am in the FS25 forums asking questions about the FS franchise as was clearly explained in the OP

And for the record, you are also talking about FS22 in the FS25 forums

This is what you wrote btw.
And there never was a career mode in FS22.
We got 2 NPC in FS25 that explain the basics but that´s it, after that you are on your own.

He got that idea from this post of yours. While I know you meant FS25 and its likely a typo. You specifically stated you heard about FS22... So he thought you meant whole convo about FS22.

you shouldn't assume what I meant, I had read that FS22 had a guided career mode, which made me assume that other games in the series also did, which was why I made this post on this forum asking about this franchise rather than one specific game

Ok, then again, no.
There was a tiny introduction in FS22 and external tutorials.
In FS25 we now got 2 NPC that explain the basisc for about 15-20 minutes depending on how fast you are. And from then on you are on your own.

Well all people can do is assume.. as no one can read minds or know all of whats behind the sceens.

Your in FS25 yes asking about the series.. But being here your likely to get answers more focused on 25 then any other.

But i digress and have no inclination to get into semantics or agruements. I will simply answer question I see.

No Farming simulator game has a story line to it. I been wanting one myself for quite a long time as well. Ranching Simulator is supposed to have a story far as I have heard. As for hands on I only got to 2nd step of tutorial before it over heated my system. BUT seems it be more what your looking for.

Might be few games with storys and SOME farming aspects. I have couple i think but memory not working. So in end.. no FS game has a story. Try ranch simulator.

Np, didnt want to sound combative. Just explain a potential view others could have.

But definitely check out ranching simulator. It also has co-op play as well. So when DO have internet connection you can play with friends as well. Though some says its still alpha stage.. others said it was great. So..

there is another farming game, i am trying to hunt it down so i can remember its name. It MIGHT be what you want as well. Give me some time.

If you are looking for farming and story you might try games like Stardew Valley, Coral Island, Sun Haven, etc. Lot of cozy farm simulation games with a story.
