How to know what equipment works with what?

I'm fairly new to the game, but I am getting a headache trying to look up what kind of equipment I need and whats compatible with what. There are icons on the tractors and equipment but no tooltips or anything to explain. For example right now I just want to transport seeds/ferts/lime back to my farm. But I don't know what trailers work with what, or what pallets can go on what. Or mainly which frontloader to buy for my tractors I start with so I can pick up seed bags if pallets won't work yet.

Frankly the menus just feel frustrating like they only cared about console game play. I wish I could just select my own tractor, and have it display all the options I can purchase that are compatible with it. Is there something I am missing?

There is a combination button (well, combination in german, maybe compability in english) at the bottom of the screen when you are over an item showing you what is compatible with what.

I did see that but it only has that button available on specific parts, not everything.

The frontloaders have all this information. Flatbeds don´t need, any pallet goes on everyone, pallets as well as bags get fixed with tension belts.

There are universal frontloaders where you just have to look for the name of the adapter. Manufacturer specific loaders will show the compatible tractors.

Most sections that have the option only show a few BASE game items. And even then not all. Its only good for a basic idea. I know some assets work together but they never show up.

If you go into the help screen (esc menu) there is information on what all the icons mean.

That is one thing i have hated since FS15 or 17 i forget. You have to SEARCH to find what they represent. When looking at shop equipment and then having to leave it to look up icons.. it gets very annoying. They REALLY need to add a mouse over tool tip at some point. Or I know your a modder. I know you did 22 not 25 but is the API available to make a mouse over tip mod?

A mouseover would certainly be beneficial, I agree. There probably is, however, scripting is not really my thing. I only have one simple script mod to which I got help from another member on Nexus.

I know scipters.. but they dont work on FS. So not sure i could talk them into doing it. As dont even know if they HAVE fs lol
