Lime does not work correctly
Hey all! This is from some tests that I did, but it seems like lime does not work as it should (game version 1.3)

HOW IT ALL STARTED?
There's been a quite few topics about what you should do to your fields and in which order. Now there's more than few "correct" methods about what to do and when, but this is not about that. One of those things to do is adding lime. Some people (like me) adds it only when the field's info box mention about needing it and then there's people who add it after every harvest. Now, lime is not free and I thought about maximizing my profits, so how often should I add it to do that? I mean, lime should add +15% bonus yield for the next harvest, +10% to the second and +5% to the third and then yelling you to add more. Damn those junkie fields needing their dose of white stuff...

STUFF I USED IN THIS EXPERIMENT (only those that may matter)
- Zielonka map
- Economy normal
- Disasters and stuff OFF
- Lime needed ON from game settings
- New Holland CR11 combine
- MacDon swather and equipment (for that sweet extra yield)
- Few fields plowed together to make one larger one (5,01 hectares total field area)
- Seasons ON
- Field stones OFF
- Soybeans

HOW I DID THE TESTING
First of all I applied lime to my 5,01 ha field. Then I did the exact same work on that field after each harvest with same equipment and during same months. Those were: plowing, cultivating, seeding with seeder that applied first fertilizing, next month second fertilizing to reach 100% fertilized and no need to care about weeds cos I plowed the field. During harvest time I checked the field to see what info it gives, sent AI worker to do the swathing with MacDon and I operated my combine harvester. All soybeans were always emptied from harvester directly to the silo. No mulching or rolling.

RESULTS
Year 1, when lime was added:
Field says +97% bonus yield and gave 55 646 liters of soybeans

Year 2
Field says +92% bonus yield and gave 55 640 liters of soybeans

Year 3
Field says +87% bonus yield and gave 55 654 liters of soybeans

Year 4, field says to add more lime (I did not add any)
Field says +82% bonus yield and gave 51 425 liters of soybeans

Now the most hawk-eyed of you may have noticed that numbers are not adding up. Where is that promised bonus yield? It seems like adding lime gives you more yield, but that 15%, 10% & 5% bonus thing is nowhere to be seen.

END NOTES
Well, that was surprising! This was but a one test, I would like to ask willing people to do some more testing about this subject and report findings here. I'll keep doing some small scale tests, but I have so much to do during my years, mostly thanks to my dairy cows, that it takes many real life days to run tests like this while running (lazing) around my farm.

Oh, about is it profitable to add lime or not? Well, my 5,01 ha field needed 16 775 liters of lime (happy coincidence, my field was almost perfectly sized to run Bredal K105 few times from end to end without those lines overlapping much!) and lime costs 450€ for 2000 liters. If my math is not too far off, that makes it 3774€ to lime it, more if lines overlap and you waste some of it. Soybeans can be sold for about 2200€ per 1000 liters. Liming gives around 4225 liters more soybeans meaning extra 9295€... so 9295 - 3774 = 5521€ more in this scenario. Thus I'll keep liming every time my field asks for it :)

I have not seen much difference at times. Even at higher % on my fields I have gotten radically different yields. Some times i get enough to run 2 large canola oil factories. Other times i barely get enough to add any to 2nd factory. Things seem a bit.. off. Like % bonus not always applying as should.

Lime was changed in 25. When you apply it you get the full 15% bonus, next planting it drops to 10% next planting 5%.

You loose 5% per planting until it needs to be applied again. I lime every other harvest now to keep my bonus 90% plus.
Not seeing a 10 or 15% increase at times though is issue.
