I used keyboard / mouse for many years (FS15-FS22),
Positiv: you can drive a straight line because of the digital steering wheel.
Negativ: many people call this method :
"press W-key simulator"
now i use a steering wheel with acivated centering spring (FS25)
i changed my gear because now i can use the new "hold the line" helper
i press my foot pedal to speed up, press bottons on my joystick to lower/raise the tools or to aktivate the "hold the line helper",
at the end of the line i turn my tractor with my steering wheel.
The steering wheel method feels more intuitive and immersive.
I personally don´t like gamepads in general so i cann´t give any feedback for this...
Hint_1: if you use many input devices (and maybe mods), the game has some light bugs,
for example: sometime i cann´t change my radio station, then i have to get out of my tractor and get back in.
Hint_2: if possible, use HDR,
all games looks way better with HDR on...

My path with a wheel continued with a new lazy boy chair to drive from in FS17.
Everything changed in 19...
I went couch and console controller. With a lounger I find i can gruel out any farm for twelve hours at a stretch with a well stocked fridge and pantry.
I remain this way to this day. Controller in hand in a reclined positioned all stretched out for a hard day at the farm.
I chose comfort over form.
