are you able to use you own bales in the forage mixer i have tried so many different combos of bale size and shape but its always invalid

I only use my own bales all the time and I have no problems with it.

You have to get the ratios right. Here's the one I use.

If you are in the ball park ratio of 60% silage,30% hay and 10% straw you will get TMR.Mineral feed is optional unless using the robot feeding barn then you have to put it in or it wont mix the feed.

If they didn't "fixed", you don't even need straw, just hay and silage. it always did the trick in 22. Don't know 19 because i never did tmr, and generally i prefer hay even if it produce less milk.

FS19 was easy. make 3 bales of the same size and you had the recipe.
