Vehicle Gliding??????????
Something that will forever bug me, is how when u stop applying gas, your vehicle just immediately stops without having to touch the brakes, unless your going like 100+kmh.

Anyone know of a way to make vehicles glide more realistically? Like how when you take your foot off the gas in your car, it just glides then slowly starts to loose momentum. Id really like that in this sim.

I have not noticed this with base game machines, so I'm just guessing you are referring to this happening with some mods.

So with that in mind, you would have to edit the XML file for the vehicle that is doing this.
If you scroll down to motorConfiguration
You will have to change BrakeForce

I find that it being around 22 is best. But you can change this to your liking and see what best works for what you are wanting.

Its not mods, its happened in all the games. Tractors, trucks, cars, ect... don't decelerate so hard without brake input. Yet these are going from say 60 km/h to 0 like I'm slamming on the brakes.

IDK why, but just letting the vehicle glide on it's own is more of a way to decelerate more than it is a way to manage speed. If i take my foot off the accelerator, id like the tractor or car to just gently glide along, and frankly I'm really trying to avoid going through EVERY XML file to edit it. Are there mods or settings?

You have do decrease brake force to make it more loose, 22 instantly stop like hitting a wall.

There was a mod in 22 "Less brake force" don't know if there is for 25 aswell, but in case should be adaptable.
Does turning off Stop & Go Braking change anything for you? Under Settings | Vehicle Control

There must be something - because if i go 53 in a tractor and release the throttle, it rolls 100+m. Seems realistic enough.

Same here, last night i even got myself into a little problem due too weight, had manually over loaded my lizard dragon van with tree stumps, around 7 tons of weight (how that van was still able to hold that weight is a Miracle onto itself) and drove in the snow to the sawmill, and had to break hard... i never glided so much further applying breaks, and skidded right of the road into a ditch and got stuck half under the ground.

But i turnoff breaking on releasing power off in the settings (don't know the exact name from top of my head) as i play with a DD wheel

I do not know of such setting. There is a "Stop and Go Braking", but that has nothing to do with brakes being applied when releasing throttle. It just means that the vehicle will start to reverse if brake is still applied after standstill. I have that setting ON.
