Logitech 3D Extreme Pro Issue on Linux
Has anyone else experienced issues with using Logitech's joystick on Linux when playing FS25? I used to play FS22 on Kubuntu (before FS25 was released) and I remember it working great with no issues.

Since the new game came out I have been on multiple Linux distros and noticed that they all had issues handling the joystick input. The symptoms are some of the axis locking hard right when in resting position and no input to the left. Also, two out of the 4 axis inputs on the joystick don't register input. I know its not an issue with the joystick as I dual boot Win11 and it works flawlessly without any configuration.

I'm more leaning towards this being an issue with Proton (Comparability Layer) but I don't have any concrete evidence to suggest so. Has anyone else gone through a similar situation to mine? Does yours work straight out of the box with Linux? I wan't to know whats causing this issue to happen.

There is an issue with Proton joysticks and Steam input currently, also not helped with Wayland wanting a permissions system causing different issues.
However there are some fixes around with fixing udev rules to ensure it loads the devices as joysticks and not gamepads was a fix for some with Thrustmaster rudder pedals.
Others had to set up their device via Steam input to make them work correctly.

I still recommend reporting the bug to Valve, make the developers realize there are more controllers out there than gamepads :P
