FPS is crap
What's the deal... It was running like butter at 90 fps earlier this week, and now after the update I'm stuck in 35 to 50 fps hell. It will literally go from 36 to 52 just crossing a field.

Also noticed that the Nvidia App see's the game but won't let me "optimize" settings if I wanted to. Allowed me to optimize the game before if I wanted. Seems like everything reverted after this last updated. Any help would be appreciated. It's making it tough to want to play. Super confused on what's happened.

Yeah... I'm really confused. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game with no mods and same thing. Really would appreciate any help. Only seeing this on FS25. Feel like my PC is plenty powerful enough and I'm getting 100% GPU usage. averages 45-50 fps with dips into the mid 30's. Was running at 90 fps + or - 3 a couple days ago.

i7 13700k
32 GB of RAM
4070 Ti Super

Similar systems (4070 Super but not TI), I've been playing this since release at 2560 x 1440 with fps locked at 60, Ultra (default) and nothing has changed for me. Rock solid.

Maybe try that first, check it's working. Work up from there? I wouldn't bother with the nVidia app on this just yet.

All I've done since reinstalling is change it to 2560 x 1440 and started a new game. Still averaging like 45ish. If it was steady at 60 I honestly wouldn't care. But it'll dip down to mid 30's and it's super obvious. Playing a fricken $2k Nintendo Switch over here.

Then something else is wrong. I use Ultra default for a rock steady 60fps at 1440, no other options have been changed.

I run a i7/12700, 32Gb and 4070 Super, on an M2 nvme and because I operate a CNC & laser machine while playing/working, I run a dual monitor setup with game in windowed mode.

Is that worth trying?

No difference. The only thing that changed since I went from 90 fps on Wednesday to damn near 40 all the time is the update, but apparently I'm the only one. I don't get it. So much for playing a bunch while I'm off work for the next 3 weeks.

I see you de/re-installed. Did you also delete shader-cache folder?
DromedarySpitz Dec 14, 2024 @ 1:38pm
takes a while for the shader cache to update after the game updates. could impact performance for a while until it completes.

Hours? I literally played for 2 hours hoping it would get better and it was consistently crap. Only get 60fps if I'm staring in the sky.

Same here. I have rtx 4070 ti super, and before the update it was smooth now it's laggy. I capped it 60 fps but it often dips below 50-40.

I have the same problem. Performance gets with every update worse.

Giants is simply overwhelmed by the game

This game doesn't run at 90fps so you are wrong.

You're wrong, you can uncap it. Was running smooth at 90.
