Technically no, there was a test for Fs22 were he passed one or multiple times among vines, and made almost no difference.
As long you make one pass per line you're good.
Sincerely don't know why they made different size implements, but in 22 i use a variable width vines, so it make sense, but the vanilla one are spaced 3 meters apart.
