has become quite the superficial cashgrab in recent iterations.
Edit: OP wrote:

iirc and from what it sounded from op gearbox modes and situation was quite the downgrade in the latest iteration. at least that's why I recollect.
maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I recall. which seems to lead to loss of customization even on the easier, simplified spectrum. if I understood correctly.
to many actual gearbox and manual driving can be more relaxing. as you control things by choice of rpm and gear range. over constantly interacting with full range or "auto" - via ankles, calves and pedals that won't be ergonomic in most desktop setups and seating positions, in first place.
I was just confused about your post...
Because - OP wrote the exact way FS22 is.
Edit: (and OT) I would love to have the space for an all-out over-the-top driving/farming setup. It -would- relax me, I'm sure :)
which probably is tied to the general iteration and downgrade situation itself. it just sucks, basically. even for discussions :P
