Update....
15 minutes later....guess you can't move them from one meadow to another. Unless you need a trailer to do that.
Update... You actually can move animals between pastures with a trailer, but i don't know if the meadow will grow back if left empty.
even in real life the grass newer stops growing, though it do take quite some time when its constantly being chewed on.
I hoped the meadow thing would be something you used as a "summer field" and coudl move the animals between a couple of meadows for the grass too re-grow.
Guess i want be using those before mods fixes it.
These animals in the pastures basically become useless. No production from them. I guess they can reproduce though.
Maybe someone else can verify.
Im staying off animals for the time being (/except a few chickens i bought for the starter farm "free range" coop.)
TLDR, have grass already where you want to build the pasture and when asked to seed the pasture with meadow grass say no.
