Watering crops

I'm kinda new to Farming Sim. Played a bit of FS22 before 25 came out cause I got it cheap. In 22 I didnt need to water my crops, now in 25 I notice in soil composition map it has a "Watered" section. Do I need to water crops now?

Personally I think they are referring to flooded rice fields. Haven't seen anything about watering yet at least.

For rice and long grain rice you need to flood the fields. Everything else like before

After Planting 'Long Grain Rice' the FLOOD the Field Option is greyed out and I cant flood the Field? Which is weird because it says you have to Sow Long Grain 1st?

Have not tried rice at all yet, but don't you flood the fields after the first growth stage?

Check Farmsimguy on youtune he has 2 tutorials how to plant rice and long grain rice

Thanks for the reply! I figured it out and realized that Long Grain Rice is NOT worth the Effort IMO!
