I have Farming Simulator '22 -- 2025 just looks like a repackaged mashup of the old.
It seems to me—correct me if I’m wrong—that they’ve taken a "Madden" approach: making minor tweaks every couple of years, bundling a selection of popular DLCs, and repackaging it as a 'new' game while continuing to release fresh DLC for the latest version.

Look, I understand it’s a farming simulator, so there isn’t much that can be innovated from year to year. But it feels like questionable business practice to sell essentially the same game repeatedly. Most of the resources, like ongoing support and future DLCs, get redirected to the newest version, leaving fans with little choice but to upgrade if they want continued support.

It isn't. There's heaps more to do in this.

But hey, whatever. Meh.

There is far more geometry to the models mud and water, weather better simulated lighting and shaders are better feels like a new game engine.

I mean, you're not totally wrong, to be fair. Adding mods to the base game are some of biggest changes each generation. This time we got buildable constructions that DAJ gave us in FS19, more or less got courseplay that's been around forever, got a farm buildings mod pack, etc... I am personally not a fan of the new and even more cartoony overlays and the new menus. But yeah, it is an upgraded engine and physics. Be interesting to see what the modders can do with it.
