Farming simulator using onedrive? Why is this is thing still?

Sorry if this is a well trodden path, but I thought I might ask about this again in case it's slightly different for FS25 compared to previous versions. I'm not that great with computers in general beyond playing games on them!

So yeah, It's using onedrive FFS! Why? I only have limited space in that thing. Now, FS related temporary files appear to be stored there (like old save gave backups etc). Being temporary, they get automatically deleted. Okay but every bloody time a file gets deleted I get an e-mail notification telling me that files in one drive are getting deleted. What the heck? Why is this a thing? Does anyone know how to make this not a thing for FS25? If i absolutely must use more and more mods (seems ever increasingly the case but that's another topic) then i don;t want them taking up space in onedrive either.

Because the game folder is in my documents and that folder is set up to automatically sync with one drive.

I never set up one drive because it's obviously ridiculous. Unlink it and uninstall it.
