How to stay busy each month?
Hi all,

I'm finding it difficult to have something to do each month and looking for some sort of cheat sheet on what to do and when. Does anyone know of any online resource that shows or tells you what to do for each apart from the obvious calender in-game.

Set different crops in each field, do contracts, work on productions. Take tree hauling / cutting jobs. Or clear forests and make own fields.

Due to often times wont have anything to do that month.. is why its so easy to sleep through them.

I'm running pigs, sheep and cows and the production lines behind the resources they provide. There's enough to do just keeping them fed - at scale - let alone manage production chains.

eg: Silage and slurry (from cows and pigs) to BGA. Milk to dairy. Wool to Spinnery. End products to market. Add grain crops for pigs and bakery. Grass and hay for cows...

Haven't even begun a bakery yet which is up to 8 inputs, including 2nd tier production. (eg: Sugar cane > Sugar > Bakery : Wheat > Flour > Bakery and so on)

Like every farm sim game you won't have a lot of land to work at first so you pass time a lot or find other stuff to do. Either get some cheap animals, do contracts, fill up greenhouses and take products to sell or do some forestry. Expand and merge fields.

I have a greenhouse that feeds into a small cannery making kimchi, and some sheep feeding wool to a spinnery, which in turn feeds a tailor. All small 36K industries, so they're not fast, but they do give me something to do, even if it's just moving pallets around.

I always love those "I have xxx husbandry and doing hectar of forestry" when most of the op have just started and have really nothing to do the first year.

All the great suggestions require money, that in the first years, you won't have.

Other than doin contracts, there's not much to do to pas time but sleepin.
Different kinds of contracts so able to do different things.. Also he didnt say just started. I got impression they established on their farm. So gave them info based on that.
Get a means to transport water and pallets and work greenhouses. Raise chickens and goats on grain and hay you produce. Feed deadwood from contracts into your sawmill. These low-investment activities are how I keep busy over winter as I'm starting out.

This is patently false. Any game can begin with as much starter coin and as much in the way of loans as you want (up to $2m anyway). Animal pens are cheap and low priced starter equipment will do all the feeding etc. you need.

Nor does OP make any mention of 'just starting' or even hint at what point in the game he is at - one can only reasonably assume he's at a point where he's bored.

In my opinion, you simply dont.

In my US game i do pigs, and when i dont have to do anything i just sleep. That is why the sleep function it is in the game.
Only in January i do woodchips, as i enjoy that. That is like my side thing.

It's an issue early game, if you're just doing wheat etc, but once you get going and start doing different crops, livestock, productions etc, you soon get busy.

Run a silage farm, you can harvest grass every 2 months. Loads of cutting, collecting, fermenting. Can't wait for Autoload.
