Let’s be honest, influencers have been well paid to do their jobs. But does the game do its job?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4a8mkx2d-Q
When I see that, I feel terribly sorry for you.

Consume, buy, and be prepared to pay full price for vehicles lacking that you'll find in DLC.
I feel like Farming Simulator has lost its soul.

But what about you?
How do you feel?

There will be patches, of course, and mods will still help the game for a while.
But I don’t feel the developer’s love for simulation and its client (you and me) in all this. Just the love of money... Sad
Love, and I hope you will have a good Christmas.

I totally disagree with you, it has been explained more than once about the lack of vehicles in base game ...they were focusing on gameplay more and would be adding more vehicles in future updates

Still they've been able to release with such silly bugs that no one can really have missed.

Why?

How would you feel if I told you that I am more than happy with my purchase? What if I told you that 100,000+ were playing on the weekend, on Steam alone.

Still feel sorry for us?

Being told by a random that we shouldn't be happy - because someone on Youtube said so - doesn't wash with me and I doubt it would for many others.

He simply talks about bugs, realism, and simply explains what happens in the game, and doesn't say “we shouldn't be happy”.
He gives a simple, neutral opinion, and it's up to you to make up your own idea.
But I have a little doubt, have you seen the video?.
I feel you're being aggressive by calling someone a random?
But you should know that you're a random too, we're all randoms, I don't mind that.
Be a little more polite with others.
I haven't bought the game so I'm looking at what other people think of it and I'm not just relying on the number of players online (if all the sheep jump off the bridge, I can too).

What do I feel?

I stick to the details:

- most vehicles were transferred from previous FS-versions with little or no change
- some new maps and vehicles as expected
- artificial makeover from previous FS version with some visuals
- a new GPS system and some new crop and production points

Most of the listed above could be an update for previous FS-versions or packed into DLCs.

Other than that it's not a GIANT jump. I expected more in the technical realm of stuff with a background from flight simulators myself and the simulator genre as a whole. Visuals are nice, but more functionality in vehicles as adjustable mirrors, seats and maybe some clickable buttons could be nice. Wheels that spin in a way more dynamic soil. Trucks with no rigid frame that makes the tires hang in the air... The slippery slope on snow isn't that slippery as influencers showed in the first videos before the release date.

Equipment for forestry is a whole chapter in itself.

Anyway it's not to an influencer to influence my money spending. I know their talking. Not anything new under the sun there.

Per say I'm not personally disappointed with the FS25. Just not impressed. And I don't like the product line GIANTS is publishing under, as new yearly titles that looks way more as artificail updates to me than a whole new level. It's a product series of course...but it's laughable.

"focus on gameplay" with Less gameplay than any FS game released previously.
Also a games released with a substantial LACK of machinery compared to previous releases.
All this for the highest priced FS game yet.

Thank you for your honest answer.
Positive or negative Steam reviews are no longer enough for me, because of reviews bomber and influencers.

I can see a bit more clearly now

Some one at one point stated last version had.. 400 some odd tractors/equipment. And this version has 400 as well. With new crops and keeping same number of equipment, is what led to a lack in some sections of variety. Could be.. or could nto be.. I dont know.

Doesnt feel like less game play to me honestly. Always feels to me like a lot I can do.

Now to not sound like "fan boy" releasing with amount of visible bugs/glitches does make the reasoning for state of things to seem weird. Focused on gameplay but so many having major issues. "Im not, for most part game runs fine. Even AI doing better MOST of the time lol".

This is simply not true. There are at least 2 more industries (IIRC).

And the FS25 release has the same number as FS22 release. People are comparing latter inclusions to FS22.

Fs 25 at launch will have 135 vehicles and 400 tools. Fs 22 had 135 vehicles and 398 tools at launch. I also broke down the type of vehicles we were getting at launch, too. Fs25 has 10 less tractor base games than FS 22, but we are getting 3 more semi truck.

I love the game, and am taking my time playing it. Not rushing anything, waiting for more content as time goes by. Mods are good but I kn ow there will be more and better ones releasing soon, graphical improvements will come soon too. Be patient. Nut the game is in a good state for most of the players.
Lunatic Dec 2, 2024 @ 4:19pm
When I think back, it is not relevant to know who has the largest number of vehicles, tools, maps, factories or objects.
This would have been the case if there were no mods but modders are working on it, there will be plenty for FS25 as well, as in all FS.
I wrote it but in fact it doesn’t make sense. by the way I didn’t buy any DLC on the FS series.

I've only watched the occasional LP video, and zero "guides". Figuring out which of the multitude of correct answers to a question suits you best is most of the fun of these games. FS25 has more answers and more questions than previous editions, combining the best parts of the old game with new ideas. It's an evolution, not a revolution.

Putting one's thoughts into a video for easy sharing is a fine thing, but it doesn't mean those thoughts carry any more weight with me. I know what I've played. I know what I've bought. I'll go over their data, but I form my own opinions, thanks.

He doesn't really give a neutral opinion, he's rather negative throughout the entire video. He cries about the most asinine things, like a lack of machinery for farming rice and so on.

Crying about how some of the additions to the game feel like something modders would do. Modders wouldn't make them if people didn't like them. Stands to reason that if you see something very popular that isn't part of the core game you add it in.

All and all he sounds like a small angry child with nothing better to do with his time than to be negative about everything.

As for not buying the game. You've got ZERO excuse to not buy it and try it out for yourself instead of going off the review of some clown on YouTube. Steam has a really good two hour refund policy. 2 hours is MORE than enough time to check out most of the aspects of the game to see if you like it for yourself. Don't like it, refund it. Simple as that.

I'm not saying it doesn't hurt to check out the reviews, but if you can check it out for yourself, I really don't know why you wouldn't.
