Left and Right bumpers not working

I play using an xbox one controller and everything was fine past few days working as expected. Resumed today and none of the bumper functions are working at all. All the key bindings are still there and the menu recognizes bumper clicks, but Im getting nothing while on foot or on a machine. Any ideas?

only mods are the John deere tractors and UTV as well as the modular bunker and auto cancel turn signals.

Xbox controller here as well, works fine for me. Try to check if you have default controller settings enabled, check that the selected controller is xbox one (on steam game proprieties as well as global proprietes of steam)

Yup ive checked that. The controller shows up and has a blue dot next to it. Ive tried both enabling and disabling steam imput as well as leaving it on default and I still have no bumper controls in game. Again the bumper works fine in the menu and will even prevent the camera from moving when holding a bumper to move a boom arm for example. But nothing happens and the UI doesnt acknowledge that the button is pressed. I can go to the mouse and all the tool functions work fine on that. Everything else controller wise works

Try to delete the setings file and let the game generate a new one
head to: Documents/my games/ FarmingSimulator2025/

Delete: game.xml and gameSettings.xml then start the game so it generates new settings files. Maybe one of those got corrupted with the patch.

damn still no success. even tried verifying files, and restarting the computer just in case and so far its all still the same. Its got to be something so stupid but I don't think im missing anything. double checked steam controller settings again and all seems to be fine there still.

Last Idea: Open Microsoft Store, search for XBOX Accessories app.
This app allows you to update your controller firmware. If you did not do it in the last months (or ever) do it.
It's the only thing that i can think of, as mine works, and it's up to date.

I'll give that a shot because I've never updated that. If this doesn't work, I'll back up my save and uninstall reinstall.

Ight Im about out of ideas. If updated drivers, uninstalled and then reinstalled, and even rolled back to launch patch and I still cant get bumper controls to work in game. Its practically unplayable for me as I hate driving with mouse and keyboard. Not quite sure where that leaves me. Im absolutely stumped how it can be fine for a few days. then after one night, I start again doing nothing different with the game or computer, and its completely screwed.

I'm having the exact same problem...works fine off and on, then suddenly neither bumper works. Have tried everything with no luck. Very dissapointing and frustrating. Please let me know if you find a solution.

well im glad to know Im not the only one.

I just tried resetting keybindings to default and suddenly lost all controller support even though the keybindings are still there for the controller. now deleting the settings files again to see if I can at least get the controller back.

EDIT: got the controller working again but still no bumpers. Ive also noticed that the controller can not move the courser in game for the menus. All I can do is use the bumpers to change menu tabs, but I cant click anything or move the courser in the menu unless I use mouse and keyboard. This is all probably related.

Ive, actually tried three different Xbox controllers, Old Xbox 360, Xbox One, wired and wireless with same results, Only the bumpers not working anywhere, with all other buttons, Dpad, etc works fine.

I edited my post. does your controller work in menus? I found mine doesnt aside from the bumpers changing tabs.

Works fine when changing menu items, no response for various control group functions in vehicles or machine control, etc.

well I give up. controller works fine on other games. I just did a full reinstall after deleting all the game files including disabling steam cloud service to keep from haveing any old files reinstalled and Im getting the same thing. no bumper controls in game walking or in a machine. and then only bumper control in the UI menu but nothing else. whole thing is bricked. Im done unless some one else has ideas

Just to add a bit more info, I still had FS22 installed on my PC and loaded it up to encounter the exact same problem with it. Never had this problem in FS22 after years of playing it. Actually didn't have it initially n FS25 either until just a couple of days ago. Not sure what to make of this.
