Steering and controller use these settings
Put Steering sensitivity at 150% and Steering back speed at 100%

Should work a lot better.

steering back speed do nothing. I tried everything from 0 to 580, really no difference.

in the xml i have these settings (in Release version)
<steeringBackSpeed>10.599976</steeringBackSpeed>
<steeringSensitivity>0.700000</steeringSensitivity>
Nothing happens too back speed changing these values either.

I'll give these settings a try, driving feels awful on controller right now after the patch.

Same here and heaven forbid you steer on full direction and can not even turn back. I tired everything and nothing works.

Ok well it works fine for me. I had my settings at 80 and 60 before the patch.

can you tell me how because it has been wonky.

dont fall for people saying its fine, if you go full into one direction the tyre is glued for 2 seconds before it moves into the other direction again, driving straight becomes impossible.

how did giants not even try the steering, its actually gamebreaking for me and i wont play till its fixxed. knowing giants, it either wont happen or its gonna take ages

Hope it will give a quick patch to turn back the steering settings as they were before update. The steering is really sh1t at the moment!

I reverted to release version. The steering is so unbelievable garbage in patch. Again a clear example of the so called QA department of GIANTS got no clue, don't care they get paid anyway, or doesn't exist.

The "fixes" in the patch notes haven't really been an issue for me so not missing anything playing release version.

In the game settings xml you can set the steering sensitivity to this (<steeringSensitivity>9.000000</steeringSensitivity>) and steering will be like it was.

Don't change the steering back speed it does not do anything.

already posted. And it do next too nothing. The Steering isn't the problem, its the extremely stupidly slow Return (BackSpeed). (as mentions several times)

The new steering kinda feels like snowrunner, I knew something was up as soon as I loaded in after the patch and drove into a ditch lol.

The steering back speed has never done anything not even in fs22. It seems to be linked with the steering sensitivity setting and if you raise the steering sensitivity setting to 9.0 not 0.7000 like it shows in your earlier post it will fix the steering.

No it want. I tested all kind of setting for the steering, couldn't even get it as sensitive as in release version, and Return stays the same slow sh~t no matter

It works you need to double check your numbers.
Menacing Scarab Nov 28, 2024 @ 7:54am
I changed mine to 9.0 as ksyslo mentioned and it was way too squirrely for me. But it definitely worked. I dropped my steering sensitivity to 7.0 and it seems to be much better while being a bit less over the top crazy.
