Foliage Draw distance after patch
Is it me or foliage draw distance is much lower after patch?
There is something in patch notes about separate settings for foliage LOD but my game is maxed out and it looks definately worse than before patch.

I don't know if it's related, but when i go to plow now, the loading of the plowed ground texture is super behind. As in, I can drive pretty far without the ground texture loading to the new plowed state. It does load but it's patchy and very delayed. I've messed with my settings to no avail. I haven't tried harvesting or other field work yet, but i'm wondering if it's the same and related to the foliage draw distance too.
There is a new parameter for your game.xml:
Default:
<foliageLODDistanceCoeff>1.300000</foliageLODDistanceCoeff>

If i increase it to another value, the draw distance will be higher

I do not have this line of command in my file....hmm?

<viewDistanceCoeff>5.000000</viewDistanceCoeff>
<lodDistanceCoeff>5.000000</lodDistanceCoeff>
<foliageViewDistanceCoeff>5.000000</foliageViewDistanceCoeff>

I only got those 3.

Yeah draw distance is overaly lower suddenly even at max, plus there is an other graphical bug... Shadows are stuck to medium and make the whole thing... look off.

I can confirm that my graphic quality took a big hit without me changing anything....i am investigating it atm.To me there is some change their made which is hardcoded because some setting to not apply when you change them.

There also something(wrong) with ground deformation compare to 1.2.I see far less deformation.Right now even if some bug are fixed. This patch is rather a nerf graphic quality patch then a fix graphic patch.

You can manually add the lines, like me:
<viewDistanceCoeff>3.500000</viewDistanceCoeff>
<lodDistanceCoeff>2.000000</lodDistanceCoeff>
<foliageViewDistanceCoeff>4.000000</foliageViewDistanceCoeff>
<terrainLODDistanceCoeff>6.000000</terrainLODDistanceCoeff>
<foliageLODDistanceCoeff>6.000000</foliageLODDistanceCoeff>
<volumeMeshTessellationCoeff>0.500000</volumeMeshTessellationCoeff>

then check your log.txt in your game folder for the Line Foliage LOG Distance Factor.

Do you have any stutters with those settings?
Thanks for the suggestion. I've been spending a bunch of time playing with configurations, the xml file and different save. It seems like there is texture pop in that wasn't there before the patch for me. It isn't really bad if i'm in third person and zoomed out. But in first person, stones in the field will pop in from about 10-20 meters away from my moving tractor. And if i look behind the tractor, the terrain fluctuates and the change of terrain is slow to load. Very odd.

i use fsr3 as AA and activated Frame Generation and live currently with ghosting effects.. no stutter.
Ok, I tried adding those lines to my xml, which weren't there at all. Seems changing my setting to the stock medium somehow erases those lines from the xml. Still, I'm having extreme terrain texture pop in. This is odd. No issues yesterday or for the first 79 hours really. I'm at a loss.

I do appreciate the suggestions. I've never had to roll back an update that i can remember, but maybe that is my answer for the time being. Roll back and start a new save.

maybe you empty your shading_cache folder und rebuild it. it will stutter first but then run smoothly
Verified my game's files for kicks and giggles and then emptied the shading cache folder. Still no dice. There were a few people on the official technical forum for the game who described the issue exactly as i have it. So, at least i know it's not just a me and my pc thing.
Also a line in the patch notes about "Reduced RAM and VRAM usage," which tells me they did more than just some small graphical tweaks.

my pc only uses 30% of my CPU and GPU. Also my use of ram is extremely low....? why does the usage even to be lower.

If i play The Witcher 3, MFS, BG3 my pc use all its power unless i limit it...
The issue is not the game use to much power, its just underperforming...
I have this issues, too. It's a gamebreaker for me.
