How to feed sheep?

I built a sheepfold, bought 13 sheep and now I don't know how to feed them. I have baled hay that I deliver to the right place in the sheepfold, but the sheepfold won't accept the hay. Does hay have to be loose? That would make no sense. The cow pen accepts hay in bales. I don't have a barn or a loader wagon and I can't store loose hay.

Only loose? Where should I buy them and how can I get them to the farm? Because the animal dealer seems to only have it in bales.

I know how to make hay because I produced it in bales. I can't mow now because it's November and I just built the sheepfold. I want to buy hay in bulk and I don't know how to do it.

Like if you don't have or don't wanna have a meadow, how am i supposed to buy, and KNOW, that now, after many years, they accept only loose grass?

I suppose even cows now don't accept anymore hay bales?

bales really should work. There are other thread in here asking about it, and they got the bale answer and had no issues

Bales work for fs22, not sure why they made it loose only in fs25.. made a bug report anyway.

Sheep will take grass or hay so I just put hay bales alone in the TMR mixer to feed the sheep with...

In-Game -> Settings -> Help -> Animals

It might be related to which Sheep enclosure. I just put in the largest one today and it takes bales just fine.

And an expensive hay loft that wasn't needed with bales since i can stack them somewhere around.

Another not so bright decision from Giants to "emprove" the game.
