A Perpetually Missing Feature
This has been a gripe of mine every iteration of the game since 09. The ability to unload partially completed bales. For some reason GIANTS fail to implement this at every opportunity.

With bales this is usually solved by an intrepid mod creator, as is the case in FS25. Yey. However, and this seems even more incomprehensible, it is also the case that you can't unload partially finished productions. Example follows:

I have delivered 5500 l of canola to an oil mill. It's been used up in full and spawned 2x1000 l of canola oil. And inside the building's invisible storage there is ~750 l of oil just stuck there. There is currently no way of forcing this to spawn so I can take it home. Big issue as I don't own the mill, I am leasing it to produce the little I have, so storing it there for next time just isn't going to work (besides the fact its an immersion breaking).

I don't really know why I'm typing this, maybe just to express my frustration over having a third of my production stuck in nowhere land, but ya. Friggin' sucks man.

It's especially ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ since they could literally just implement the mod that already bloody exists in every other game.

But like Bethesda, why bother doing the work yourself when you KNOW that modders will do it for free?

Agreed. I'm glad the baler mod is out already but it would be nice to get one for productions. As it stands I'm going to lose money on oil making. How unamerican.

Whack some tariffs on it. You'll recoup your losses.

You can't put tariffs on domestic production. That's an import tax paid for by the importer, not the exporter, and then passed on to the consumer. As a seller you lose money from tariffs.

I mean yeah. If you sell them right away you very well will. Store them and sell them at a peak month. It's called a market. Works on supply and demand. Very American.

Yeah I know. But can't I flippantly assume imports given it was 'unamerican'?

Sorry but you're missing the point some. Even at peak demand I am losing money because 1/3 of my production is stuck in the production building, unable to spawn because it's not 1000 l worth. Why it doesn't spawn partially full is beyond me.

Well kind of. I guess you can set the output mode to selling and sell it that way, but if youre looking to actually play in a way that makes sense on a small farm scale, I'd rather just have the ability to push the product out in an incomplete pallet.
